1) PPH: Where is home?
Grace Ormonde: Literally, my home is in The Azores where I was born, but my true home is surrounding myself wherever my family and friends are.
2. PPH: Why (just changed “how” to “why”.) was Grace Ormonde Wedding Style conceived?
Grace Ormonde: I felt there was a need to create a magazine that focused on showcasing strong photography. I feel there are a lot of other magazines out there that lack strong imagery and I wanted to create a publication that displays the work of our talented photographers.

3. PPH: How does the theme for each issue come about?
Grace Ormonde: Sometimes I see one photo that will inspire me which will set the tone for an upcoming issue. Imagery constantly inspires me. But I must say that the editors on my staff really inspire me most on a daily basis.

4. PPH: How would you respond to those critiques that say print advertising doesn’t work?
Grace Ormonde: If print advertising doesn’t work, how do you think household names like Armani, Versace and Christian Dior received their brand recognition? Print advertising is extremely important for branding your company and I have to disagree with critics that say otherwise.

5. PPH: What has been your favorite Editorial spread location?
Grace Ormonde: I have shot all over the world and have visited many extraordinary locations, but I have to say that the fashion shoot we produced in Puerto Rico for our Spring/Summer 2008 issue was by far one of my favorites. I am also very fortunate to live in a state where I am minutes from Newport and Providence which I have produced many beautiful editorials in.

6. PPH: What advice can you give a photographer that wants to get his work noticed and published?
Grace Ormonde: I am always encouraging photographers to continuously submit to us year round. I am constantly reviewing photography, and the more amazing shots you submit the better.

7. PPH: What do does Grace Ormonde Wedding Style look for in their submissions?
Grace Ormonde: I am always looking for images that move me. I look for sexy photography that displays passion, culture, and lots of diversity.
8. PPH: Anything BIG in the works…that you can share with us?
Grace Ormonde: I have a hard cover book in the works that I have been working diligently on.

9. PPH: What hurdles, if any, did you have to overcome to make Wedding Style the amazing sought after publication it is today?
Grace Ormonde: I really don’t feel that I’ve had too many hurdles. I am a fearless and driven individual and have always been quite the risk taker. I am extremely passionate about what I do which has alleviated many of my hurdles.

10. PPH: What do you like to do in your spare time (if you have spare time)?
Grace Ormonde: I love to go to art museums, I enjoy doing things around my house (not in a crafty sense though) I enjoy entertaining with friends, drinking fine wines and indulging in delicious cuisines.
